The weather continued its rollercoaster ride.&nbsp; We had torrential downpours with bad flooding in the area.&nbsp; On the other hand, the weather was more consistently in the 60s, meaning more and more time spent&nbsp;outdoors.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Matt&nbsp;had a successful tonsellectomy (among other procedures) on Wednesday.&nbsp; He was a brave soldier, but is really feeling&nbsp;bad today&#8230;&nbsp; To compensate, he had two birthday parties, one last Sunday (when he could still eat cake!) and one actually&nbsp;today (on his birthday) &#8211; when he&nbsp;could only&nbsp;bear&nbsp;ice cream&#8230;&nbsp; It&#8217;s hard to believe that he&#8217;s already 12, but he absolutely looks older in the pictures below.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We just had a small get together this year for him.&nbsp; Grandma (who made the delicious cake!) and Gigi were there of course, along with&nbsp; Chad, Dee &amp; Gracie&#8230;and even&nbsp;Phyllis and Dick.&nbsp; Gracie stuck around afterward and we all had a great time playing wiffleball out in the frontyard for a few hours!&nbsp; Sadly however,&nbsp;the next day&nbsp;after the party Dick was admitted to the hospital for&nbsp;emergency quintuple bipass heart surgery.&nbsp; Our thoughts and prayers are with him for a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We were also blessed with a new addition to&nbsp;our family.&nbsp;
