  <\/span>The first half of the summer has gone by so quickly for our family.  <\/span>It is hard to believe that June is already gone.  <\/span>Harder yet to believe is that little Lukey is now five.  <\/span>Luke is definitely his own little person and rounds out our family nicely.  <\/span>It?s hard to remember what it was like before him and now we can?t imagine life without that little stinker.  <\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

  <\/span>He had two parties this year ? a formal one with friends and family on the weekend and a small, informal one with just the five of us on his birthday – Tuesday, the 24th<\/sup>.  <\/span>Obviously, he loved all the attention, presents and cake; but what he really wanted was for us to sing to him.  <\/span>Yes! He loved having us sing Happy Birthday<\/em> to him so much that he had us repeat it twice ? and relight his candles!  <\/span><\/font>J<\/span><\/span>  <\/span>Grandmaw Bryan called and sang it to him on the voice mail.  <\/span>He must have replayed it nearly 50 times, as he was on the phone for over 20 minutes!  <\/span><\/font>J<\/span><\/span>  <\/span>He?s such a funny kid?<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

  <\/span>The kids and Ann made and served Tom his favorite Father?s Day food items all day and then went and bought fireworks!  <\/span>There were sports on the TV, a couple movies, lots of food and we got to sample a few of the fireworks (had to make sure they were working properly, ya know) – the perfect Father?s Day?<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

  <\/span>Matt & Abby both ended their ball seasons this week, losing in the first round of their respective tourneys.  <\/span>Abby got to be the captain and call the coin flip before the game.  <\/span>She was excited to get a trophy in her league.  <\/span>Matt?s team ended up 2nd<\/sup> in the league and 3rd<\/sup> in the tourney.  <\/span>Tom took those two to Dairy Queen to celebrate their seasons.  <\/span>Both kids were over ball by the time they hit the tourney.  <\/span>With all the rainouts, they played a lot these past few weeks and they were ready for it to be over.  <\/span>Luke has one more ball game and then he is done and we can get down to some serious summer fun at home!  <\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

  <\/span>Recently, Matt & Abby got to spend the night at Grandma & Gigi?s house (in lieu of driving to Buffalo to see Keith and Rosie).  <\/span>They had a blast plus it allowed Lucas to have some special time with Mom & Dad.  <\/span>Matt has begun working out with the football team twice a week and will be going to football camp after this holiday weekend.  <\/span>Abby signed up for soccer again, so it?s only a matter of time before the kids start gearing up for the next sports season!<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

  <\/span>The kids can?t believe that the summer is already half over.  <\/span>We keep telling them the best part of the summer is yet to come with the pool, the fair and of course Independence Day just a week away.  <\/span>We are really looking forward to friends and family coming out for our annual party next weekend and we hope to see you there?<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
