Well, it’s been kind of quiet for awhile around here (for once!). Matt and Abby both made the A/B honor roll, with Abby achieving straight A’s again! Luke is going stir crazy from having to be indoors during the past few weeks of sub-freezing temperatures. Abby is keeping busy with her tap and jazz dance classes.
Matt continues to take drum lessons and also plays percussion in the GJHS band. Today he had his first competition. It was held over in Columbus at East High School. He joined up with one of his football buddies (Andy) and one of our longtime family friends (Mallory). They were all so nervous during warmups. It was the first competition for any of them but they sounded great, earning gold medals! We are so proud of them.
We had a great turn out for support, as Grandma Owens and Gigi, along with the other four of us…plus Christi (our good friend & previous child care provider)! Afterward, we took him out to Johnny Carino’s for a celebratory feast. Tomorrow is Ann’s birthday, so this was a nice early birthday present for her.
